safaris.
These safari tours are divided into the following:
A. Overland tented camping safaris, with roomed accommodation up-grade
options.
B. Standard lodge accommodated tours.
C. Luxury lodge group tours.
D. Tailor-made private Safaris.
A. Scheduled Overland Tented Camping Trips:
These adventure trips range in group numbers from 12 guests to 22 people.All guests travel together in a specially designed overland truck, 4x4 safari vehicle or some-times a smaller tour bus.
Participation levels differs in different countries, but generally include pitching your tent, help with food preparation and cleaning up after meals.
Most of our scheduled overland safaris now also have a bedded / roomed up-grade option for the guests who wish a bit more comfort, but still experience the adventure of overlanding.
OVERLAND CAMPING ACCOMMODATION:
On our tented camping trips, we make use of comfortable and easy to erect insect-proof dome tents or if a roomed up-grade option apply. We also supply our guests with a dense-foam safari mattress. We do not supply sleeping bags, but they could be rented from us. Basically all the campsites we use, has also chalets or permanent tent lodge accommodation, which make an up-grade from tented to roomed possible. Meals are generally taken together as a group at the tour campsite.
BATHROOM / AMENITIES:
We make use of formal camping sites, all with communal bathroom amenities, with flush toilets and hot showers (except in cases otherwise described in the specific itinerary). In rare cases (for example: exploring the Okavango Delta islands), real wild camping occur, but very rarely for more than 2 days / 1 night.
B. Up-graded Overland Safaris:
On most of our tented safaris, we have an accommodation up-grade option, which offers an bedded room, some-times with its own bathroom.There are exceptions to this, with regard to some Botswana adventure trips, as there are no standard lodges on most sections of these routes.
On nearly all our normal small group scheduled safari tours, we make use of safari camps that have both lodge and camping facilities. This gives our guest the extra option of up-grading their safari to bedded night accommodation.
Please Note: If you wish to up-grade your safari style, from camping to accommodated, then this should be done while booking your trip, as availability of accommodation is limited and has to be pre-booked.
On these up-graded room accommodated overland safaris, all nights is spend in a room, in either a bush chalet, bungalow, small lodge or a permanent tented camp.
FOOD / MEALS:
On most styles of our camping trips, the safari guide will be in charge of the preparing and buying of all safari meals. All guests scheduled on the different styles of the safari, will generally share their meals together at a prepared table, or some meals would be taken at the lodge restaurant.
C. Luxury Lodge Tours:
