Is an overland safari for you?

Overlanding safari trips in Africa is not for every-one. Working together as a group and overall flexibility are part of the daily workings of these adventures, especially on long duration multi-country trips.

It can be extreme with a multi-national group mix, difficult roads, heat and dust. But it is a reasonably priced travel option, it is safe and definitely a lot fun (well, that is up to you!).

You will cover more places of interests, than if you would have done if travelling on your own, and go to destinations that would be not possible to gain access to without a organized overland safari.

You may discover your inner self, and also end up building lifelong friendships: sharing the good and bad, the buying food and cooking food, the equipment failures and itinerary alterations, all build an amazing connection with your fellow travellers. Africa overlanding trips would always be the absolute adventure.

Some overland trips are in smaller groups and some in larger groups. Namibian trips are generally up to 12 guests in a smaller truck, where the multi-country one's are generally up to 22 guests in a custom overland truck.

The beautiful city of Cape Town in South Africa, is generally the favourite starting or ending point for many overlanders, as it offer a whole range of optional activities and a bit of modern African civilization.

Namibia is one of the prime destinations included in most itineraries, due to its amazing natural and wildlife diversity, with popular must see places such as the red tinted dunes of Sossusvlei, Fish River Canyon, rugged Damaraland, wildlife diverse Etosha Pans and very traditional Himba tribe.

Botswana is famous for its wildlife-destinations of the Okavango Delta, Moremi and Chobe Game Reserves, and for the budget traveller a overland tour would be the only way to experience these spectacular places.

To experience the Okavango Delta in a traditional canoe or the magic of an African sunset filled with wildlife on a boat cruise on the Chobe river.

PURE NAMIBIA: Explore Namibia from Windhoek to Windhoek. This popular safari has the option of being either a tented camping, or a full lodged tour.

NAMIBIAN EXPERIENCE: This is a blend of the two seven day trips that offers you a great option to visit just about all of Namibia's top features.
