Safari Itinerary

Day One: Botswana's Maun - Bushman / San Tribal Experience. Tented camping.
This safari starts at an arranged meeting point at 7H30 in Maun, Botswana, where you will meet your specialist guide.

Departing Maun, we travel about 300km to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Arriving at a private game farm next to the Reserve, we will have a detailed safari briefing, after we set-up our camp.

Later in the cool of the afternoon, we will go on an a educational nature exploration walk, guided by the traditional San / Bushmen hunters and wildlife trackers. This is an total learning experience, as you will learn about the ways of tracking and bush-craft, medicinal use of plants and of the oldest hunter/gatherer cultures in the world. This evening you are in for another treat. Experience the tribal dance of the San people around an blazing campfire. It is an way of teaching their children, and a way of telling stories through movement. All three meals are included.

Days Two to Five: Exploring the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Tented camping
After breakfast, we move into the un-spoilt wilderness area of Botswana's largest game reserve. For the next four days we will explore the wildlife and wilderness of this northern Kalahari desert region. We camp in various campsites, to get an more in-depth view of this unique environment.

Places of interest we will visit includes Deception Valley and Pipers Pan, with game drives galore!.

This is real adventure camping, as all our food and water is taken with us, and we travel as a self-sufficient exploration group. We camp in a designated campsites, with bush toilet facilities. All meals are included.

Day Six: Back to Maun, and one night in a comfortable lodge.
After breakfast, we go on our last game drive exploring the magic of the Kalahari Desert. Returning back to our base camp, we pack-up and depart for Maun.

Accommodation for tonight is in a relaxing lodge. Breakfast and lunch is included, but dinner is at your own expense, and could be taken at the lodge restaurant.
Our safari ends on Day Seven at 08h00.

Price include:
Professional Specialist Guide and his Camp Assistant. All safari accommodation, with comfortable 5 cm thick camping mattresses and Dome-style tents. One night bedded roomed accommodation in a Maun lodge. All activities and transfers as stated in the itinerary. All the safari meals as stated with breakfast, lunch and dinner, with coffee and tea. All game drive activities and the Botswana Park fees as per itinerary. Transport is in our specialized Botswana safari vehicles.

Do not include:
Stated restaurant meals in Maun. Airport transfers. Visas. Available optional activities and excursions. All beverages. Travel insurance and flights.
