Sickle Bush (Dichrostachys cinerea africana): This specific plant is used all over Southern Africa by various tribes for the treatment of head related pains, and proven to be very effective. The fresh leaves of the Sickle bush are used to make a strong tea, and mixed with a bit of honey if available.
The plant seem to have antibiotic properties and also used in the treatment of various other ailments.
It is considered a good all-round remedy for abdominal complaints, pneumonia, dysentery and maladies of the urinary tract.
Sinus and head-colds is also treated by inhaling the smoke of the dried leaves and root, relieving the pains and a blocked nose cleared.
