What is herbal Antiseptics?:
Antiseptics are made from parts of plants, and applied to body surfaces to reduce the infectious growth of bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Most modern antiseptic medicines has their origins in traditional herbal applications.
Wild Seringa (Burkea africana): Is use quite extensively in Southern African countries as the main ingredient in herbal medicines as an antiseptic due to the high tannin content in the leaves and roots.
The fresh young leaves are crushed into a pulp, and applied to the affect skin or sore and bandaged with string bark and leaves. Fresh crushed leaves are applied every day.
