Herbs and plants used in traditional medicine, by African tribes and people

Traditional African herbs and plants which are used by the tribal people in Africa to induce an abortion. In most application cases an tea is made from the leaves or green stems, and taken orally. The correct dosages is known to the herbalists, as the in-correct use of these could poison a person.

This chapter on the medicinal use of plants is strictly for informational purposes.

Ficus asperifolia: A concoction is made from the young stems and leaves.

Gossypium herbaceum (Wild African Cotton): An extract (tea)is made from the seeds.

Ziziphus abyssinica: An extract (tea) is made from the boiled roots.
